I went to bed at 8 pm last night, and it was amazing. I had an exceptionally busy and exhausting weekend, due to holiday and birthday parties that overlapped into the wee hours. By the time early evening rolled around last night, I could barely keep my eyes open, let alone take on the massive cleaning endeavor I had meant to finish. So, I went to bed.
I slept until 8 this morning, and I woke up feeling better than I have in weeks. I had been powering through, burning at both ends and just trying to hold on until my holiday vacation starts Friday, but I needed the rest.
The weekend itself was fun. Not great as far as weight loss. I made cookies with my niece yesterday, and how do you not eat cookies when you’re decorating them with a 2-year-old? I felt terrible last night. My stomach was upset and I just felt nasty. Gained a little weight this morning, and I’m OK with it. I haven’t been hit with any residual unbearable cravings or anything, so I feel like it’ll be easy to get right back on track. I’m sure this weekend will be rough, but through the rose-tinted glasses of mini-hibernation, I feel like everything is bound to work out.
